We, the people behind www.53cientifics.cat, are a team of qualified professionals with a variety of backgrounds and many years of experience in the field of research, development, innovation and management of pharmaceutical products.
We look into the future with optimism, braveness and above all, without being intimidated by the current global crisis. We have everything that is needed in terms of education, experience and commitment to do a great job in our area of expertise, but are also aware that there is still a lot to learn and many challenges ahead.
From the vantage point that www.53cientifics.cat represents, we want to show all organizations related to the pharmaceutical sector, be them pharmaceutical companies, CROs or academic institutions, a summarized professional profile of each one of us in case it could be of interest.
THE ORIGINS
On 22nd September 2010, the biotech company Palau Pharma S.A., which had been created based on the spin-out of the R+D unit of J. Uriach y Cia S.A., the oldest pharmaceutical company in Spain, announced a labor force adjustment plan by which 53 of its workers would be laid off, which represented around 62% of its workforce.
This group of 53 professionals has been playing a key role in the achievement of all the goals set up by the company from its inception, contributing to the generation and added value of its projects. The group, after several rounds of negotiation, has finally agreed with the company on the general conditions of the labor adjustment plan.
Eventually, this feeling of teamwork and unity has driven us to the creation of this web page.
